Restaurant & FoodService Memberships
​A Restaurant or Food Hall membership is available to individual owner/operators and restaurant groups. Dues are calculated based the number of Virginia restaurants owned. Membership dues also include membership with the National Restaurant Association (see more about membership benefits of the National Restaurant Association here). Learn more about dual membership with Virginia Beach Restaurant Association (VBRA) and the Williamsburg Area Restaurant Association (WARA) with VRLTA by contacting Brittany Wojdyla, Vice President of Membership & Business Development.

VRLTA also offers restaurants and restaurateurs the Virginia Is For Restaurant Lovers website, which is designed to be a resource for the industry, with up-to-date news, resources, and information.

Annual Dues: 
  • First Restaurant or Food Hall = $325
  • Each Add'l Restaurant = $125/each
  • Maximum annual dues = $2,500
Hotel, LODGING & CAMPGROUND MEMBERSHIPS
Independent Hotels & Other Lodging Establishments
Dues are calculated based on the number of rooms and may include an additional per room fee structure. Membership dues also include membership with the American Hotel & Lodging Association (learn more about AHLA membership here). Properties under construction are eligible for a 50% discount during the first year.

Annual Dues: 
  • 50 Rooms or Less = $325
  • 51 Rooms + = $8 per room
Branded Hotels
Dues are calculated based on the number of locations operated by a management group in Virginia, rooms within an individual property, and a per room fee. Properties under construction are eligible for a 50% discount during the first year of membership.

Annual Per Room Fee: 
  • 45 - 199 Rooms: $7 per room
  • 200 - 399 Rooms: $6 per room
  • 400+ Rooms: $5 per room
  • Maximum annual dues (if centrally billed) $8,500
Campgrounds

​BEVERAGE DISTRIBUTOR MEMBERSHIPS ​
Wineries, breweries and distilleries can join VRLTA as a beverage producer. Dues are one rate for all beverage producers.

​Dues are calculated based the number of visitors or attendees annually.

Annual Dues:
  • Number of Visitors up to 50,000: $325
  • 50,001 — 250,000: $750
  • 250,001 — 500,000: $1,200
  • 500,001 — 1 million: $3,500
  • 1 million or more: $5,000
TOURISM SUPPLIER AND DESTINATION MARKETING MEMBERSHIPS
Destination Marketing Organizations, Convention & Visitors Bureaus, Chambers, & Municipalities
Dues are calculated based the organization's annual budget.

Annual Dues:
  • Annual budget up to $100,000: $350
  • $100,001 — $300,000: $450
  • $300,001 — $500,000: $550
  • $500,001 — $800,000: $650
  • $800,001 — $1,500,000: $750
  • ​$1,500,000+: $850
Tourism & Hospitality Suppliers
Three levels of Supplier Membership are available:
  • Premier Supplier Memberships are available for $1,495 per year. This membership includes:
    • Listing in VRLTA's online searchable supplier directory
    • Listing in VRLTA's annual Buyers' Guide
    • One annual opportunity to present at Chapter Event, based on availability
    • Two (2) Spotlight listings in The Slice annually
    • Two (2) ¼ page ads in magazine OR Two (2) dedicated partner emails annually
  • Featured Supplier Memberships are available for $995 per year. This membership includes:
    • Listing in VRLTA's online searchable supplier directory
    • Listing in VRLTA's annual Buyers' Guide
    • One (1) ¼ page ad in magazine OR One (1) spotlight listing in The Slice
  • Standard Supplier Memberships are available for $495 per year. This membership includes:

​EDUCATION & COMMUNITY SUPPORT MEMBERSHIPS
Hospitality & Tourism - Community Support Organizations ​
Community Support Organizations can join VRLTA under a reduced membership rate annually. VRLTA members within this membership level should have hospitality and/or tourism resources applicable to our membership base and offer related services within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Educators & Students
Hospitality students and educators can join VRLTA. An Education membership is available to High Schools, Technical & Vocational Schools, Colleges, and Universities. Students can join individually.

  • Each contact at an educational institution: $100
  • Individual Students: $25
