Advocacy
VRLTA, known for providing One Strong Voice for Tourism, is the leading advocate for the hospitality and tourism industry in Virginia. We support our members’ interests through legislative representation with the goal of protecting and maintaining Virginia’s high tourism season, VA ABC legislation and regulations, tourism funding, and taxation and workforce issues. This support also includes lobbying updates at the local, state, and federal levels; as well as research from our national partners – the National Restaurant Association and the American Hotel & Lodging Association. VRLTA has several opportunities for members to network including quarterly chapter meetings and mixers, bi-annual membership meetings, the VA1 Tourism Summit, as well as Political Action Committee (PAC) and Education Foundation fundraisers. Marketing & Promotion Support
Our members receive a free listing in the Annual Virginia Travel Guide – over 150,000 guides are distributed across the state. Supplier members receive a listing in VRLTA's online searchable supplier directory (available to members only), and a listing in VRLTA's annual Buyers' Guide in our Inside Virginia Hospitality magazine, plus other options such as advertising space, marketing emails, and more. Members are also invited to participate in various marketing co-ops at discounted rates and are given the first opportunities to sponsor meetings and events, getting in front of members and prospects. |
