What is your ultimate Virginia weekend getaway? I recently visited Primland Resort in Meadows of Dan, Virginia and absolutely loved it! The property is beautiful and has so many fun activities to offer hotel guests. I also really enjoy spending time in Charlottesvillle, it was one of the first places that I visited when I moved here and also where I got engaged. I really enjoy the Quirk Charlottesville's rooftop for a great view, and I also love exploring the vineyards, especially Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. What is your favorite cuisine, and a favorite Virginia restaurant that serves it? Oh gosh, I love southern food, but really I love all good food! The Pickled & Fried sandwich at Lunch.Supper! is delicious. I also really love the tacos at the newly opened Conejo restaurant near our office! Which places are on your travel bucket list – Virginia and beyond? I really want to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway - the views up there are absolutely gorgeous. I have heard really great things about Cape Charles so that is definitely on the list of things to do. Outside of Virginia, I would love to travel to the California coast at some point & anywhere with clear water in the Caribbean. Mountains or beach? I love both, it really depends on the season. I love the mountains in the fall and the beach in the summer. Eat out or carry out? I love eating out. It provides a great change of scenery and allows me to try new restaurants and types of cuisine. Favorite place for a beer or a cocktail? I love Can Can Brasserie on Sundays for a late brunch and mimosa carafe, light on the orange juice! Perfect day in your (Virginia) hometown? We really enjoy going for a walk on the T. Tyler Potterfield Memorial Bridge and then having lunch on the Canal Walk at Casa Del Barco! |
