RICHMOND, VA — The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association (VRLTA) is proud to announce the expansion of its Bull Run Chapter, further strengthening the association’s local engagement across the Northern Virginia region. The chapter’s footprint now includes Spotsylvania County, the City of Fredericksburg, the City of Manassas, and the City of Manassas Park.
This growth reflects VRLTA’s commitment to better serving members in the fast-growing and economically vibrant I-95 and Route 28 corridors. By incorporating these communities into the Bull Run Chapter, VRLTA is creating more opportunities for hospitality professionals in the region to connect, collaborate, and advocate on issues impacting the industry at both the local and state levels.
“This expansion allows us to engage with more businesses that are essential to Virginia’s hospitality and tourism landscape,” says Eric Terry, President of VRLTA. “The region represents exciting markets with growing foodservice, lodging, and tourism sectors. We look forward to building stronger connections and supporting our members in these areas through targeted programming and advocacy.”
The move also brings about new leadership for the chapter. Josh Reichert, the General Manager of Airlie Hotel & Conference Center, will serve as the chapter’s President; while Brian Shanle, Resort General Manager at the soon-to-be-opened Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, will step in as Chapter Vice President. Both will serve two year terms in their respective positions.
As part of the expansion, VRLTA will begin hosting dedicated Bull Run Chapter events that include representation from these newly added localities. Industry professionals located in the newly added communities are encouraged to get involved by attending upcoming chapter meetings, networking events, and policy briefings.
VRLTA has eight chapters across the Commonwealth: Arlington-Alexandria, Blue Ridge-New River Valley, Bull Run, Charlottesville, Coastal, Fairfax-Loudon, Richmond, and Shenandoah Valley. The structure of these chapters allows members to connect with others in their area to share ideas, network, and learn. Benefits to members include quarterly chapter meetings, education opportunities, and the chance to meet local legislators.
