Make Your Voice Heard!
VRLTA’s annual Legislative Day on the Hill and Taste of VRLTA Reception - which takes place February 2-3, 2026 (RESCHEDULED DATE) and draws over 200 attendees each year - is Virginia’s premiere opportunity to get learn about relevant issues and advocate on behalf of our industries to policymakers and their staff. It's one of the best opportunities to put a face on our industry and discuss current issues and challenges.
Beginning with a Legislative Breakfast and Issues Briefing, Day on the Hill then proceeds to the new General Assembly Building for a morning of face-to-face meetings with legislators to promote VRLTA’s Legislative Priorities and advocate for and against bills concerning the industry, culminating with a Gallery introduction for members in the Virginia Capitol by a Member of the General Assembly on the Floor
NEW 2026 DATE ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to the inclement weather approaching Virginia the weekend of January 24-25, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our annual Day on the Hill Events to February 2-3, 2026. Our team is working diligently on rescheduling as many of the programs as we can, and would like to make you aware of the changes below:
- The VRLTA Membership Meeting will take on an abbreviated format during the afternoon of Monday, February 2 at the Hilton Richmond Downtown.
- The Taste of VRLTA Reception will take place during the evening of Monday, February 2 at the John Marshall Ballrooms.
- VRLTA’s Legislative Breakfast will take place on the morning of Tuesday, February 3, followed by our trip to the Capitol grounds.
- All previously scheduled meetings with legislators are being rescheduled for Tuesday, February 3.
All existing registrations will carry over to the new dates outlined above. Should you need to adjust your registration, or have any questions, please reach out to VRLTA Chapter and Events Manager, Kayla Cleveland.
