Richmond, VA - The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association (VRLTA) announced that Sarah Campbell has joined the organization as its new Chapter & Events Manager. Campbell brings seven years of experience in Virginia’s hospitality industry to the role, with a background spanning hotel operations, project management, event planning, human resources, training, marketing and community engagement.

Sarah understands both the opportunities and challenges facing hospitality businesses, and that perspective will be invaluable as we continue supporting our members and chapters across the Commonwealth.”
She joins VRLTA after building her career with Richmond-based Retro Hospitality, where she progressed from corporate intern to Director of Special Projects and, most recently, Project Manager of Openings & Onboarding.
During her tenure with the company, Campbell supported hotel openings and management transitions across a portfolio of 12 independent and boutique hospitality properties around the Commonwealth. She oversaw implementation timelines, operational initiatives and stakeholder communication and was entrusted with interim general manager assignments at four of those properties.

Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Tech, with a minor in International Business. While at Virginia Tech, she held leadership roles in the Hospitality Management Association, Panhellenic Council and Student Government Association and served as a Hokie Ambassador.
In her new role, Campbell will help strengthen VRLTA’s regional chapters, coordinate association events and create opportunities for members to connect, learn and grow.
