VRLTA Applauds Issuance of Executive Order 39 on Permitting and LicensingRICHMOND, VA – The Virginia Restaurant Lodging and Travel Association (VRLTA) applauds the declaration of Executive Order 39 by Governor Glenn Youngkin, promoting transparency and efficiency in permitting and licensing.
Eric Terry, President of VRLTA said: “In our industries, waiting for permits and approvals is a major barrier to development to operators of all sizes, and particularly to small business operators. The Youngkin Administration’s work to make the bureaucratic state more efficient for both individuals and businesses has helped those processes move more smoothly and responsively. That has been a substantial improvement for Virginians in many walks of life, and certainly so for our restaurateurs, hoteliers, tourism officials, campground owners, and attraction operators. Executive Order 39 furthers that mission, and we are excited for what the future holds.” Executive Order 39 directs agencies to eliminate obsolete approvals, include approvals involving multiple steps on VPT, reduce the number and complexity of approvals through streamlining, and digitize and enhance the user experience for the approval application process. You can read more about it here, and access the Executive Order itself here. Comments are closed.
