CSRA Mourns the Passing of Bruce Cotton

The Council of State Restaurant Associations is deeply saddened to share that Bruce Cotton, an industry icon, passed away on Wednesday, Jul. 15 at Thomson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore at the age of 84. Cotton was a long-time spokesman and executive for companies such as Cracker Barrel, Jerrico and Long John Silver's. Over the years, Cotton occupied the role of director of public affairs with many companies, and it was his insights that helped shape the relationships that foodservice operators have today with lawmakers in Washington, D.C. Read the complete obituary.

VA ABC Enforcement Panel Update

The Virginia ABC Enforcement Expert Review Panel met again on July 8. Following testimony from industry representatives, including our VA ABC Legal Counsel Tom Lisk of Eckert Seamans, we do not believe the Panel will recommend a separation of Enforcement and Regulation.  Read the Full Update »
