Virginia Hospitality & Travel Association Hires New Director of Marketing & Communications

Looking to grow, Association finds director with unique mix of past hotel and digital marketing experience

Richmond, Va. – The Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association (VHTA) announced today that Seth Petersen has joined the Association to maintain and develop communication strategies. Seth Petersen brings a wealth of marketing experience, having spent the last three years developing and executing digital marketing strategies for Pulsar Advertising. Prior to that, Seth cut his teeth on marketing while working for Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Va.

Seth joins VHTA as Director of Marketing and Communications with the goal of helping to enhance the marketing programs and improve engagement with VHTA members. Seth said, “I’m excited about the challenges presented with this move to VHTA. The Association has a solid base, but there is still a great opportunity to grow the organization and take it to the next level.”

Eric Terry, president of VHTA said, “Seth’s prior experience in the resort industry has already improved his understanding of VHTA’s membership and the issues faced by our members. His marketing experience and ability to step in and quickly learn the systems in place that make our association run have already resulted in significant changes he’s implemented in just his first few days. I’m confident that Seth will play a key role in VHTA’s strategic approach and growth.”
