Alcohol Training & Certification

The ServSafe Alcohol Training Program is designed for bartenders, servers, hosts, bussers, valets, bouncers and all front-of-the-house staff. This program prepares you and your team to handle all the risks involved in the handling and serving of beer, wine, liquor, and mixed drinks.

Alcohol training is offered through an online course and exam. After successfully completing the course and exam, participants will earn their ServSafe Alcohol Certification.

What's the difference between ServSafe Alcohol Primary and ServSafe Alcohol Advanced. The Primary Exam covers the essentials needed to understand the risks involved with serving alcohol. It can be taken online, without a proctor present. The Advanced Exam, however, requires a proctor present in order to take the exam. While the Advanced Exam tests proficiency in key areas, the Primary Exam will generally suffice as both cover the same materials.
How do I sign up for the class? ServSafe Alcohol is offered online, via the ServSafe website. Just create a login, or use an existing one, and register for the "SSA Online Course & Primary Exam".
How much does it cost? The Online Course & Exam are $30.
How long does the Course & Assessment take? Because it's offered online, it's self paced. But the course usually takes 4 to 5 hours.
When will I know the results? If you successfully complete the course and exam, a certificate is available online to print. You can always check your score on the ServSafe website.
