Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association Announces Two New Hires

Richmond, Va. – April 6, 2017 – The Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association (VRLTA) announced today that Jen Terkeltaub Laws and Joseph Wertz have been hired by the Association. Laws and Wertz have been hired to fill roles within the membership and government affairs departments, respectively.
Laws, VRLTA’s new Director of Membership Development, comes to the Association with a 10+ year background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, most recently as Corporate Sales Manager at The Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa owned by Shamin Hotels.
Wertz, VRLTA’s new Director of Government Affairs, comes to the Association with previous legislative experience in Virginia, having aided VRLTA during previous legislative sessions, and a variety of political experience on the federal, state, and local levels across the country.
“We are excited to have Joe and Jen join the VRLTA team. Joe’s past successes with the Association during the 2016 and 2017 General Assembly sessions made him a perfect candidate to help us as we continue to make strides with our legislature,” said Eric Terry, President of VRLTA. “While Jen brings a vast knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry that will help us continue growing and engaging our membership base. I’m excited and encouraged by the team we have in place as we move the Association forward.”
